Waiting in line

waiting in line
at the Five’n Dime,
hoping to buy some time,
’cause I’m living
on my life line,
it’s been
cut like a break line,
got me looking
at these dreams of mine,
wishing I knew
what made the starlight shine,
praying to Gods
old and new that we were fine,
looking for
the reasons in every rhyme,
so I’m
sitting on the corner
begging for some borrowed time,
and I’m just
waiting in line
at the Five’n Dime,
looking to buy some time
